About TanglePod

March 30, 2017

TanglePod is hosted by us, Juliette and Kellie – two Seattle area residents who found each other through a common interest in the feeling of well-being that comes with creativity.

Every time we meet, we find ourselves conversing on a variety of topics that center on creativity, focused mind time, how to get our creative flow going again, adding balance to our day and mindfulness to our life. TanglePod came out of the idea that this might be a way to share our enthusiasm with others to help them spark their creativity.

We are both Certified Zentangle® Teachers. As Zentangle teachers – we meet a lot of our own creative needs by regularly practicing the Zentangle Method ® and find that we can apply a lot of the elements of Zentangle to other aspects of our life. We also enjoy sharing this experience with our students and now are thrilled to be able to do so with our listeners.

These conversations made us realize how we each approached our themes so very differently from one another, enriching both our experiences.  Because our artwork and approach are unique -we decided to create supporting content for our TanglePod episodes, where we share our impressions, explorations and interpretations in our own unique way on each of our websites.

About Juliette: I am French -  no way you would not have noticed it on the podcast! I have lived in different parts of the world, dabble at a couple languages, love learning about different cultures or what makes people tick. In my spare time you will usually find me trying my hand at some kind of creative pursuit. I discovered Zentangle in 2012 and it was a perfect match.  A fun, relaxing, creative art form I could share with others? I am in!  I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in 2013 and have been teaching it ever since. I so enjoy sharing the joy of creativity, the relaxation, the journey Zentangle takes one through. You can visit www.ArtsAmuse.com for more information and the approach I take on our episodes.

About Kellie: I have always made time to journal, draw, paint, craft, write poetry and countless other creative experiments.  Some days, weeks months and years are more creative than others, but the love of making, practicing, and quiet moments is always there. I am happiest when life is slow enough to breathe evenly and try to encourage my friends to do the same.  I found Zentangle by chance in 2013, became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in 2014 and have enjoyed sharing the peace and relaxed focus creativity can bring ever since. You can visit www.SoundTangle.com for more information and for my take on the exercises in our podcast episodes.
